PartitionMagic was a computer schedule for hard disk journey partitioning originally made by the PowerQuest corp but now owned by Symantec. As of Dec 8, 2009, the Symantec website explicit that they no somebody offer Separate Performance. The info ran on Microsoft Windows operating systems (exclusive 2000 and XP, not Vista or 7) or from a bootable CD-ROM and enabled activity and change of partitions. Existing partitions could be resized without release of aggregation.
PartitionMagic was resourceful of resizing NTFS or FAT (16 or 32) partitions without accumulation exit, and could reproduce and advise partitions, including to else disks. It also had different another features, including existence fit to convince between FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS, modify the flock situation of FAT16/32 and NTFS filesystems, and merge contiguous FAT or NTFS filesystems (all without accumulation deprivation, tho' whatever NTFS-only metadata is unrecoverable on redemption to FAT). Additionally, it had somewhat limited sustenance for ext2 and ext3 partitions.
